Some thoughts: Why must today be a holiday just because Malaysia won a soccer match? Didn't PM realize that there are some other ways to celebrate it? Just because of this the tuition center I should have gone for is closed for the day! No replacement! RM30 gone!! = =

Another 364.5 days passed...half more day left before we welcome a brand new year. I'm eager to say goodbye to 2010. Although this year is not that bad for me, but there are still something I fucked up in 2010 and I want to let bygones be bygones. A new year is a suitable time for me to forget about them.
Since this is the last day of the year, therefore I will use this opportunity to list down my new year resolutions and hopefully I can follow all of these changes and become a better person.
♥ Update my blog regularly
Yeah..this is one of the first things I think of. = = Maybe I'll update twice a week or more if I have time.
♥ Go for less tuition, as little as possible
I'm taking 12 subjects for Form 4 next year. My dad said to send me for tuition for every subject. That was before he realized I'm taking subjects that many. Tuition needs money, and for the sake of his wallet, I'm going to have less tuition and study the others by myself.
♥ Attend co-curricular activities more frequently
Last year (I mean 2010) my co-curricular marks were 0. = = I didn't attend any of the activities because I thought it's pointless and I didn't bother to get the 1 mark from the teachers for becoming members of some stupid societies. However, local unis prioritize your co-curriculum marks if you wanna study there, and so I made a mental note to myself, no matter how pointless the society/activity is, I'm going to attend. (What to do? The Ministry of Education encourages us to waste time by attending these useless activities, and created a system which is when people waste more time, they get more marks.)
♥ Don't be so lame
I realize this a long time ago. Even when I blog, I blog lamely (sometimes). Until my friends pointed this out, only had I realized that I have to change this habit. And I will. Next year. Just let me continue to be lame for the last day of the year. =)
♥ Be confident
I'm working on this. I don't even dare to look people in the eye (except my mother and some of my close friends). And I have to improve my skills of voicing out my opinion and socializing. Perhaps this is the hardest change I have to make next year.
♥ Overcome my laziness
I am really lazy. I often neglect my piano practice, sometimes up to 1-2 weeks. I did not do most of the homework ordered by my teachers, especially notes (because they are pointless, in my opinion). I can lie on my bed not doing anything just because I am bored. And I can go up to weeks not brushing my teeth = = (that was months ago).
♥ Be more active
...and not just staying at home every day.
♥ Find the meaning of life
This is the ultimate and the most important task I'm going to accomplish next year. After 15 years I've live in this world, I admit I still don't know why I was born. I always had this thought that we humans are born, then we die. So why do we live for? For a brief moment I thought of committing suicide because life is meaningless, then I thought of my parents. If I died, they would be devastated. And recently I watched a video about Buddhism, saying when you commit suicide, you will suffer from eternal damnation when you go to Hell. Hence I have continued to live and think about the meaning of life. Is life meaningful? Why does God give us a life? Why most of us are living peacefully, while others are suffering from hunger? Hopefully I'll be able to answer these questions soon.
And that's about it. Wish you all a happy new year. =D

3 more days to 2011
...and 5 more days before school reopens.
Which means I'll have to cut my fingernails and hair.
Never mind fingernails, because long nails make me uncomfortable when I type or SDO, and have to be cut anyway. But going to the barber? Damn. I love my long hair and still hoping it can grow longer (now reaching nose level). Especially when it's messy. = = not very messy, what I mean is just blow dry my hair after bathing without combing it, makes it more natural. You must be thinking I'm weird. Yeah I'm weird. =)
And there's the problem of pimples. They're all over my forehead. Imagine getting my hair cut and let all the pimples show up. I'll look like a freak. =(
But I'll have to cut, regardless. School rules. Fuck school rules. Starting to wonder who created this damn rule.
At least now my pimple problem is not as serious as early December (there were hell lots of pimples) because I started to panic and applied face wash every day. Now I regret teasing my girl friends about their pimples. >< Now I have summore blackheads on my nose. Haiz..
Oops, I talked too much about my pimples! Sorry for making you feel gross.

Going green
Damn, lost my password and id of my old blog. Guess I'll have to start a new one. And this is it. A new blog. Carson's New Place. I know it's lame. Can't think of any other title for my new blog.
If you are a new reader who desire to read my boring old blog, here is the link.

Read this article first before I continue.
Yes, ice melting in the arctic region. Before that I thought it was no big deal — just ice melting and flooding some islands. I never expected tons of greenhouse gases (carbon and methane) to be trapped under the ice. If global warming continues, the effects are disastrous — islands vanishing under the ocean, millions of homeless people and of course, more global warming.
Thus I started doing something for the environment. I read another article saying that poultry produce a lot of carbon, so I thought of being a vegetarian. But it is hard to resist the temptation of meat, since I'm a meat lover. Therefore I have become an occasional meat eater. Then I bought a metallic lunch box and have used it every day when I buy lunch. I also reduce the usage of paper to save trees and water the plants every day, hoping they can provide more oxygen and absorb more carbon. And I pray every night for God to stop global warming. I know these sound trivial and silly, but at least I'm doing my part to save the environment, not just creating groups on Facebook saying something like "We need 1,000,000 members to prove we want to stop global warming". What the hell.
Now whenever I see those thick reference books or text books, I can't stop wondering how many trees have been cut to make these books. *sigh*
I am not trying to sound like those extreme environmental supporters. What I'm doing here is to share the news with you readers, and hopefully you can make a change to your life to become more environmental friendly, such as reduce usage of plastic bags and polystyrene containers and plant more plants.
That's all. =)
